On October 26th, CAPCOM issued a public announcement explaining the context of decision-making and the way forward for the “CAPCOM CUP 12” and “SFL: World Championships 2025 finals” to be read at a fee.
According to Karpout, this is intended to promote the sustainable development of the company ‘ s electricity competition and to create international competitiveness through the reinvestment of revenues in the fields of players, the military and related undertakings.
CAPCOM CUP 12, a world-class championship for Street Bull Six, will be held in Tokyo, Japan, on March 11, 2026, with 48 pre-selections for the world’s kingship, with a prize of $1 million (approximately $30.69 million in New Zealand currency).
The same venue will also host the “SFL: World Championships 2025 Finals” with the best team of champions from the three major regions of the world.

对于外界的争议，卡普空 eSports 全球事业部部长田渕哲也表示，收费决策并非单纯以营利为目的，而是为了确保电竞营运能在中长期内维持稳定与成长。
他指出，卡普空正计画透过收费所得，重新投入于选手奖金、战队支援、赛事营运与转播品质等多方面，以期让「CAPCOM CUP」能朝向国际水准发展。
官方公告也明确指出：「我们真诚接纳玩家们的各种意见，并持续与相关单位进行审慎协议。原订于10月下旬公布的票价细节，目前仍在调整中，将于准备完成后另行公布。」
此外，卡普空强调，未来将透过官网、官方社群及公关人员说明等多管道，提供更透明、易于理解的资讯更新。
尽管官方释出说明，但许多玩家仍对直播收费持保留态度。部分网友认为：「若要收费，应该提供额外的附加价值或专属内容」、「应以周边商品或游戏内虚拟物品获利，而非限制直播观看」、「有料化并非错误，但时机还太早」。
也有支持者指出，若希望格斗游戏电竞能长期运作，适度的付费模式或许是必要的一步。
「CAPCOM CUP 12」与「SFL: 世界冠军赛 2025」付费直播票价目前有待最终确定；而「Street Fighter League: Pro-JP」的季后赛与总决赛直播票，则预定于 11 月 12 日如期开售。
卡普空最后在公告中强调：「我们将诚恳面对所有期待，致力于提供更完善的观赛体验，也恳请玩家持续给予理解与支持。」
