The Israeli unicorn Apps Flyer or 4.5 billion dollars was bought to consider IPO.

According to the Israeli scientific and technical media Calcalist, the Israeli unicorn company AppsFlyer is in the process of in-depth negotiations on the acquisition, with an estimated value of $3.5-4.5 billion. According to sources, the buyer was expected to be a private equity company. To advance the sales process, AppsFlyer has engaged Goldman Sachs as a consultant to the investment bank.

AppsFlyer has not raised any more since 2020, when it was funded with $2 billion in valuation, and income has more than tripled over the period and has remained profitable for several consecutive quarters. New products introduced over the past two years have become a key engine of growth.

The AppsFlyer, created jointly by Oren Kaniel and Reshef Mann in 2011, now has approximately 1,300 employees, with an annual income of about $400 million and a continuous positive cash flow. Its core technology helps application developers to identify precise sources of high-value users, including Google Search, Facebook/Tweet ads, direct mail, SMS marketing and television ads.

In recent years, AppsFlyer has expanded its product portfolio through a number of acquisitions, including the Transatlantic Investment Group, the Salesforce Investment Fund, the Goldman Sachs Growth Fund, Qumra Capital, DTCP, Pitango Growth and Magma.

Last June, Bloomberg reported that AppsFlyer was considering a first public collection unit (IPO) to raise $300 million. At the beginning of the year, the company had 100 staff reductions (approximately 7 per cent of the total number of employees). At that time, Oren Kaniel highlighted AI ‘ s potential for change in an intra-corporate letter, announcing that it would increase its input into the training of AI tools and model teams.

“Even though we are on track to achieve record financial performance — for the first time in 2024, with a positive cash flow for the second consecutive year, and an excess of income/annual recurrent income/EBITA targets — we still believe that this is the best time for change,” said Oren Kaniel, “to drive change in a successful period would seem unusual, but it is this strength and strategic leadership that will enable us to act decisively, invest in growth and ensure that Apps Flyer continues to lead innovation.”

AppsFlyer, a moving attribution and marketing analysis brand of the Israeli company APPSFLYER LTD, works to build innovative measurement solutions centred on privacy protection, to provide industry with a combination of marketing measurement and analysis, fraud prevention and remarketing, and to help global brands make business decisions.
